“This is the day the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!” I just love the words to this song and used to sing it every morning with the four-year olds I had the privilege of teaching many years ago. My prayer is the joy of the Lord is yours today and every day!
As we are settling in to the end of our second week together, I want to take the time to talk a little about some of our health and safety procedures and precautions. As we are moving closer to our opportunity of being in our new permanent classrooms, the installation of electrical and plumbing and other construction is evident each day around our building. With that being said, I want to let you know the following procedures are being followed:
All staff, parents, church staff and construction workers check in/out of the building and their temperatures are checked.
Construction workers are given a dated neon paper bracelet to wear on their wrists; a different color for each day of the week.
I.D. is checked by the receptionist when a child is picked up if he/she does not already recognize the person from previous days.
All persons picking up need to take their temperature, use hand sanitizer, and wash their hands in the classroom.
The front doors are to remain locked with the exception of the single door on the left as you are facing the building. A buzzer sounds when anyone enters/exits the building.
As we like to say around here, “Safety First!”
Have a safe and fun weekend experiencing the “joy, joy, joy, joy down in your heart!”
